About
The Mayor of White Sulphur Springs interacts with both government officials and the community in order to establish goals and objectives for inproved life in the City of White Sulphur Springs. The Mayor provides leadership to achieve these goals and objectives, develops public policies and procedures to further them, and makes operational decisions for implementation of such policies and procedures.
Duties and responsibilities
- Preside over Council meetings
- Review and approve annual budgets
- Makes business decisions in the best interest of the City
- Appointing and/or hiring management staff
- Participating in public events and ceremonies
- Executing official documents
- Calling special meetings as necessary
Terms
The term office of Mayor shall be for a period of two years. Bi-annual elections are held in June.
